Woodgate House

II

Dated 1726 in spandrels of panel over door. Red brick, hipped smut-pantiled roof. Two
storeys and attic. Facade of nine bays. Sashes with single glazing bars. Central
doorway with brick segmental pediment on Corinthian pilasters. Two brick pilasters
with moulded capitals. Rusticated brick corner pilasters. Moulded brick modillion
eaves. Later wing to north with shaped gable. Three gabled dormers on south side.
Moulded brick string course of first floor level. Chimney stacks with diagonally set
shafts.
