Public house. C16 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber
framed and plastered with wave pargetting and ashlar lines. Painted brick
facing to return. Red plain tiled roof. 2 red brick chimney stacks, one to
the left and 1 forward off centre right. Long wall jetty dropped to right with
2 moulded brackets and 7 iron support shafts brick support to left. 2 storeys
and cellars. 4 window range of C19 small paned vertically sliding sashes in
moulded surrounds. 6 panelled door to left and vertically boarded door to
right. The interior has carved and moulded ceiling beams. Said to contain
original 4 centred door head and old panelling. RCHM 17.
