Licensed restaurant. C15 or earlier with later alterations and additions.
Mainly exposed timber frame with plaster infill. Jowled storey posts. Heavy
studding and halved braces to right. Bressumer with carved leaf motif. Ground
floor plastered brick facing. Hipped red tiled roof, gabled crosswings to right
and left. Red brick chimney stacks to right and left. 2 storeys. 5 window
range to first floor of mainly C19 2 light vertically sliding sashes with a
3 light small paned casement to left crosswing. 6 window range to ground floor
of mainly vari-light casements and vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars.
Central vertically boarded door in plain surround. The rear of this building
may be interlinked with 2 and 4 King Street q.v. 8/45. RCHM 26.
