Public house. c1815. Whitewashed brick in Flemish bond to front, on stone
plinth; ashlar dressings. Slate roof; rendered stacks. Central stairhall
plan, 1½ rooms deep, with rear service wing. 3-storey, symmetrical 3-window
front. Central, recessed, 6-panel double door, with panelled reveals and a
rectangular grooved panel over. Projecting Doric doorcase of attached
fluted columns, entablature and cornice. Tripartite sashes to ground floor.
2-storey canted bay over doorway, flanked by sashes to both 1st and 2nd
floors. All windows have glazing bars to upper sashes. First floor windows
have wedge lintels with raised keyblock. Modillion eaves cornice. End
stacks.
