Part of house, now two houses. Probably late C15, refronted late C18 with
late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in brick with tile roof. Three
bays of four-bay timber-framed building, the fourth bay forming No 80 Welch
Gate (qv). One storey with attic lit by four gabled dormers, ground floor:
two polygonal oriels; former central entrance blocked with 4-centred brick
arch, flanked by two entrances, to left entrance has a segmental head and a
C20 ledged and boarded door, to right entrance has a half-glazed C20 door.
Framing: visible internally, roof trusses have struts to collar, clasped
purlins and curved wind-braces, curved tension braces to ground floor of
