Part of a house, now one house. Probably late C15 refronted early C18 with
some late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in brick with tile roof. This
is one bay of a four-bay medieval house, the other three bays being Nos 1 and
2 Sandy Bank (qv). Two storeys with attic lit by gabled dormer, band to each
floor, one window: 3-light casement under segmental head; ground floor: 16-pane
boxed sash to right, entrance to left approached by two brick steps has a
wooden architrave, a segmental head, a triangular canopy on wooden brackets
and a ledged and boarded door. Framing: exposed in left-hand gable, four
struts to collar with V-struts above, clasped purlins. (S Price, 1973,
