Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, C18 and C19; with C19 and C20 alterations. Red
brick, in various bonds; plain tile roof with crested ridge tiles; Welsh slate to
C19 wing; brick stacks: 3-bay C17 central-chimney house, with 2-bay early C18
addition to right; a mid C18 cross-wing added to right again; a late C18 rear
outshut added to earlier C18 part, and a mid C19 wing added to rear right of C17
part. The entrance front of the C17 part was on what is now the rear side. South
elevation (present entrance front): 3:2:1 bays, right bay gabled. Plinth; platt
band. C19 part-glazed door with round-arched panels to bay 4, on right, in gabled
porch with shouldered archway, having late C20 window on left and 2-light casement
on right. French window to bay 1, C19 canted bay window to bay 3, and 2-light
casement to right hand bay. Bays 1, 3, 4 and 5 have 2-light casements in gabled
dormers; 2-light casement to right-hand bay. All gables have curved bargeboards.
Roof hipped at junction with right-hand bay. Large ridge stack to bay 2, with
paired recesses. Rear: 2 right bays of C17 part have plinth, platt band; blocked
doorway (left bay), a glazed door on left, late C20 window on right, and a gabled
dormer with C18 2-light leaded iron casement. The C17 left bay is masked by the
C19 wing which has gable stack, and to right end of right return a Gothic stair
window. On left of this wing is a late C18 outshut which has old board door with
small, segmental-arched, leaded light to left. To left end is wing, which has had
an addition to gable end, and to its right return has a 2-light window under
sunken segmental arch. Left (west) return: plinth, platt band and eaves band; C19
hipped-roofed bay window to ground floor, 2-light leaded iron casement above, and
1-light window in gable. Right return: plinth, platt band; two late C20 wood
casements, of 2 and 3 lights, to ground floor; some blue headers to 1st floor.
Interior: C17 part has brick fireplace with chamfered timber bressummer; in 1st
floor left-hand room, broad floorboards and spine-beam with deep chamfer and run-
out stops; at right end a collared roof truss with mortices in pricipal rafters
from former purlins. Old panelled doors with strap and L-hinges. Right wing has
chamfered beam with lambs-tongue stops in front room, brick fireplace with timber
bressummer and bread-oven to rear room, and in rear addition a long stone sink.

Farmhouse, now house. Late C17/early C18. Brick, in English bond, once
painted, plain tile roof. 1 1/2 storey, 5 bay including stack bay, with C19
gabled bay added to one end and wings to rear. Front has gabled bay at RH,
gabled porch in bay, 2 to LH with shouldered arch and half-glazed Gothic
door. French doors in LH bay, with blank stack bay beside C19 canted bay
window in centre bay. Either side of porch 2-light casement,and in gabled
bay. 1st floor raised band. Above each bay, except chimney bay, 2-light
casement in gabled dormer, and 2-light casement in gable. Curly bargeboards.
Roof hipped at LH joining onto lower C19 gabled bay. Large ridge stack to
chimney bay.
