GV II*
Solar wing to former hall house, now granary. Early C14, altered C16 and late C19. Sandstone rubble with hipped Welsh slate roof. Rectangular block to south-west of house with entrances to south-east side. Two storeys, (though probably reduced in height). Three loft openings to left of small pointed window with chamfered jambs and head, the central loft opening may formerly have been a doorway and has chamfered jambs. Ground floor: one C19, window with segmental brick head to left of mutilated C14 doorway with segmental arched head, similar C19 window to right with further C19 doorway and window to right. To the rear are traces of further 2-light windows now with square heads and blocked. The building is buttressed to the south-east add south-west and retains part of a stack to the rear.
Interior retains very large scale C16 fireplace on first floor, with chamfered surround and massive single stone lintel with coved shelf above. Soft wood roof late C19. This building is thought to have been the original solar wing to the now demolished aisled hall which once linked this building to the surviving buildings at Hergest Court.
