Church of St John the Baptist

A Grade I Listed Building in Morton, Lincolnshire

The central tower.

Uploader's Comments

The central tower with its fine stone vault, was built at the same time as the Nave. It was intended to have a spire, proved by the Squinch arches in the bell chamber which would have carried the weight of the 8-sided spire.
