Glebe Cottage

GV II


Cottage. Mid C16 and C18. Timber framed and plastered, with red plain tile
gambrel roof on rear range and grey slate roof to front range. 2 storeys.
3 window range, C20 leaded casements. Lean-to extension to east. Central C16
red brick chimney stack and red brick bread oven at west end. Extensive
original frame internally with halved and bladed top plate scarfs and through
bracing. Became Parson's house in 1546.
