of New Hall Farmhouse

Barn, c.1700. Handmade brick with sandstone plinth and quoins, stone slate
roof. Rectangular 5-bay plan. Opposed wagon entrances in centre (that on
west side blocked, other altered); slit breathers on 3 levels; north gable
has coping with kneelers and ball finials (balls missing from apex and one
side). Interior: 4 collar trusses, the tie beams all re-used cruck blades.
