House, c.1600. Timber framed, roughcast and pebbledash rendered
with steeply pitched roof now covered with asbestos. Yellow and
red gault brick ridge stack with string course. Two bay, lobby
entry plan. Two storeys with first floor jettied to road. Two
casements at first floor and two hung sashes on either side of
doorway with c.1840 reeded doorcase with boss enrichments at
corners. The gable end to the right hand has the date 1756
applied to the pebbledash. Interior: One of the abutting
inglenook hearths is intact, but it has been sealed. One ground
floor room has a main beam with ovolo moulding to the chamfer
and leaf stops, and the soffit of the beam is carved with
running folded leaf ornament. There are late C18 and early C19
panelled doors generally in the house. The house is cellared.
