Tenement farmhouse. Probably C17, undergoing extension (February 1985).
Whitewashed rendered stone rubble and cob. Thatch roof with gable ends. Stacks at
right end with drip and axial rubble stack. Single cells each side of lobby
entrance with 2-storied extension at left end incorporating fabric of former shippon
and possibly original site of cross-passage. Main range 2 storeys. 3-window wide,
C19 2-light casements, 2 retaining L-hinges. Two C20 two-light casements flank C20
rubble porch and 1/2-glazed door. Outshuts at rear with corrugated iron roofs.
Cambered chamfered and stopped fireplace lintel to right end stack, moulded plaster
cornice partly survives to room to left of lobby entrance with some old joinery
intact. Roof of pegged trusses with straight principal rafters and waney common
rafters: no sign of smoke-blackening.
