9/101 Carus Lodge Cottage
II
Lodge, c.1840. Snecked sandstone rubble with hipped slate roof. One
storey with canted bay at north end of facade having 3 2-light chamfered
mullioned windows with labels and stops. To south of the bay is a wooden
porch with carved bargeboards, with a 3-light chamfered mullioned window with
labels and stops to the south of it. North wall has 2-light mullioned
windows with cast iron decorative glazing bars, which are also retained
by the right-hand window of the bay. Southern end of house extends towards
the west as a wing, with a 3-light chamfered mullioned window in the south
wall. Chimney to north of porch and on south wall.
