2-5-1968 and barn adjoining to east
GV II
House, late C17th, altered, with barn possibly early C19th. Slobbered
rubble with stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Left-hand part probably added. To
the left of the porch is a window of 2 large lights with central mullion
and stone surround. On the 1st floor are 2 windows with plain reveals,
with a blocked light to the left of the right-hand one. Above the
right-hand side of the porch there is a straight joint. To its right on
each floor there is a rebated and chamfered window, formerly of 3 lights,
with one mullion remaining. To the right is a door with plain reveals,
with a straight joint in line with its right-hand jamb. Re-set above the
outer porch door, which has plain reveals, is a re-set embattled lintel
inscribed: 'AS 1683'. Chimneys on left-hand gable and to right of porch.
Inside, the left-hand part has axial chamfered main ceiling joists. To the
right are farm buildings. Immediately to the right and under the same roof
there is a 2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor and 2 blocked 2-light chamfered windows above. To the right there is
a door with plain reveals. The main barn is higher. It has a wide entrance
with external sliding door. To the left there is a smaller doorway with
similar door. To the right there is a door with plain reveals. To the
riqht of the left-hand door there is a window with plain reveals. At the
left on the 1st floor is a blocked chamfered one-light window.
