House, mid C19th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. Double-
pile plan with central entry and gable chimneys. 2 storeys, 2 bays.
Windows in a C17th style, with mullions, inner hollow chamfer, outer
chamfer, and hoods. Those to the south wall of 4 lights at left and
3 lights at right. Door has plain stone surround, under a gabled shallow
stone porch. Shaped stone gutter brackets. The rear wall has similar
window and door details. The windows to the left-hand bay are of 3
lights; those to the right-hand bay of 4 lights and at a higher level.
Included as a good example of the revived vernacular style used by the
Downham Hall Estate.
