Parish Church. West tower, C14, nave and chancel rebuilt 1866 by W M
Fawcett. Field stones with clunch and limestone dressings, brick interior
walls with black brick and limestone details. Modern plain tile roofs.
South elevation: unbuttressed tower of three stages, with moulded string
courses marking reduced wall thicknesses, aisle and nave roof weatherings to
south and east walls, plain parapet rebuilt with gargoyle asymmetrically
placed; two-light belfry window in two-centred arch. Nave with limestone
gabled south doorway, plinth band, and band linking one single trefoiled-
light to left hand of one large gabled two-light window with one three
trefoiled-light window to right hand. Apsidal chancel. Interior: chancel
with rib-vaulted roof and nave roof of four arch-braced bays with painted
details and stencil decoration to plaster ceilings. Clunch tower arch,
two-centred. Intermural belfry stair. Font with mask ornament and fleurons
on panelled clunch base, C14 or later. For memorials see RCHM.
