House, '1678 A E' on lintel. Rendered sandstone rubble with blue slate roof.
2-unit central-entry plan with end stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays. A continuous
drip course rises over the door and windows. The windows have an outer
chamfer and inner hollow chamfer. The ground-floor windows each have 2
mullions remaining, having lost 2 each. The 1st floor windows each have one
mullion and have lost 2 each. The cyma moulding of the door jambs continues
around a shaped lintel. The right-hand gable has a one-light attic window and
a chimney projecting on corbels at 1st floor level, possibly original and for
a 1st floor fireplace. A later projecting stack for a ground-floor fireplace
has been built up underneath. At the rear are later extensions. Inside there
are pine ceiling beams and a moulded shouldered fireplace of C18th date at the
left-hand end.
