Farmhouse. Early C18. English garden wall bond brick with
graduated stone slate roof. 2-bay 2-storey baffle-entry plan
with later 1-bay wing added to left. Porch to left is of a
later date, is gabled, and incorporates 2 heavily enriched
oak brackets. The ground floor is rendered. Continuous
first floor band in raised brick. Each floor has 2 C20
casement windows with stone sills and cambered brick arches.
Similar windows to left 1-bay addition which has external
steps on the left return giving access to first floor. Gable
chimney stacks. Blocked attic lights in right gable.
Interior: massive bressumer beam with stepped run-out stops
above inglenook fireplace. Dogleg staircase with moulded
handrail, closed string (balusters missing) and square
newels. 2-panel first floor doors with ornamental strap
hinges.
