Farmhouse, with adjoining dairy, shippon and cart-shed, early C18 possibly with
earlier fabric, extended to rear probably early in C19, when shippon and dairy may
also have been added. Cart shed late C19. Morte slates. Colour-washed rendered
to farmhouse facade. Asbestos slate roofs to farmhouse with gable end rubble stone
stacks with taper caps and to cart shed. Corrugated iron roof to dairy and
shippon. L-shaped plan to farmhouse with outshut with lean-to slated roof in the
angle. Front range with single rooms each side of cross-passage. Dairy and
shippon adjoins at right angles to right side of farmhouse and extends southwards.
Cart shed adjoins at right angles to west side of house forming overall 3-sided
front courtyard plan. Farmhouse 2 storeys with 2-window range of C19 4-light
timber casements, 2 panes per light above two C19 3-light timber casements 3 panes
per light, flanking projecting porch with slated lean-to roof. 4 panelled inner
door. Scrolled and chamfered lintel to fireplace to right-side room. 1 original
roof truss survives. Dairy has blocked doorway towards upper end and 2 paned
casement, the shippon breaking forward to right with single ventilation slit and 4
paned casement inserted in larger blocked opening with timber lintel. Dairy has
flagstone floor and plastered internal walls.
