House. 1710 with late C18-early C19 cased front wall and roof raise. Red
brick, English bond with Haddenham gault brick; Flemish bond, front wall
casing. Roof raised late C18-early C19. Mansard roof, plain tiled with gault
brick patterned tumbling to parapet gable ends on kneelers. Two urns rest on
kneelers. Ridge and end stacks. One storey and attics. Three dormers.
Segmental arches to three ground floor openings, all C19 and two doorways now
blocked. Interior: The house was subdivided in late C18 or early C19 and the
openings reflect the subdivision. An inglenook hearth at the north end has a
lintel carved with the initials WW and the date 1710. The same room has stop
chamfered main beams and joists, laid flat. The two other rooms have stop
chamfered main beams. A smaller hearth, also 1710, has an opening under a
segmental arch of two header courses.
