Early C18. 2 storeys and attic in brick faced with scored stucco. Segmental
heads with keystones to sash windows with exposed frames at 1st floor, now
without glazing bars. Ground floor has door with 8 fielded panels and simple
fanlight and frame. Entrance with segmental head with keystone, C18 wrought
iron guard rails and scrapers. 1 modern shop front and 1 with wood case. Para-
pet with moulded stone coping. Slate roof with 3 segmental headed dormers. Side
elevation has brick double gable with tumbled brickwork. Pantile roof. Windows
mainly sliding sashes. Staircase mid C18: open string, slender turned balusters,
columnar newels, moulded handrails. Four first floor rooms have diagonal
chimneypieces, one with two fielded panels above fireplace. Both front rooms
and landing, and some places elsewhere, have fielded panelled dados. Windows
with panelled window seats and shutters. Most doors have two fielded panels and
contemporary hinges. Peat-burning fireplace on ground floor.
