Public house. Late C18 - early C19. Brown brick, flat clay tile roof. 2
storeys and attics, 4 bays, with continuous rear outshut. Door of 6
panels under fanlight with radial glazing in panelled reveals and soffit.
Pilastered doorcase. Three 4-pane sashes with sills all under slightly
cambered gauged brick arches. Louvred shutters. First floor: 3 similar
sashes. End and axial stacks, tumbled-in brick to raised gables. An
earlier steeply-pitched gable is visible in the east end of the present inn
suggesting that it may incorporate the remains of an early C18 structure.
