House late medieval three unit plan with open hall; C17 floor
frames; east gable wall rebuilt originally with parapet gable,
chimney stack, and roof using medieval material c.1700.
Timber-frame plastered, painted brick with modern brick ridge
stack and end stack to west. Thatched roof. One storey and
attic. Two gabled, casement dormer windows; five modern ground
floor casement windows and six panelled door. Interior has two
inglenook hearths. Double ovolo-moulded axial beam with leaf
and jewel stops. Painted floor joists to parlour covered by
modern plastered ceiling. Medieval wall-frame exposed has two
scarf joints, ground-sill scarf face lipped and squint-butted
with secret bridle, and scarf to wall plate stop-splayed.
