House, formerly 2 dwellings. Probably early C17 (fireplace dated 1626) with
major C19 and C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble, graduated green slate roofs,
stone and brick chimneys. Central part of a short row.
2 storeys, 4 bays with flush quoins. C19 openings: replaced glazed doors in
flush, tooled surrounds in end bays; replaced 12-pane casements in similar
surrounds between; 2 identical windows and blank end bays above. Roof has
replaced coping to right. 3 ridge stacks: central and left stacks of stone
have top bands and water tables; rebuilt brick stack to right.
Interior: partly-blocked, Tudor-arched fireplace with chamfered inner arrises
and lintel dated 1626.
Late C20 rear additions not of special interest.
