Offices. Mid C18 and later alterations to older building. Front
range is of red and vitreous brick, 3 bays to right of red headers,
with paired vertical strips of blue headers between windows. C20
tile roof, brick chimneys to gables and right of centre. 2 storeys,
5 bays. Wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, ground floor
openings with cambered heads. Half-glazed door in second bay. Right
gable has blocked round window. Rear has canted projection of thin
brick, possibly once a chimney, and later extensions. Interior
preserves original rear wall with heavy close-studded timber framing
and doorway with hollow chamfered 4-centred arch. Lower range to
N,W, also rebuilt in brick, has central chimney and queen strut truss.
On moated site said to be that of a priory or nunnery.
