House. Dated Jas. Hawkins 1830 on brick. Pale chequer brick, hipped
slate roof, deep boarded eaves, symmetrical brick chimneys. Double
pile. 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. Barred horizontal sliding sash
windows with cambered heads. N. front has central half-glazed door
with similar window above, and another in hipped dormer. Left bay is
irregular with low 3-light horizontal sash to dairy, and 2-light sashes
above to mezzanine and first floor. Single storey extension to right
has 4-light sash, 3 board doors, one to poultry racks, and smaller
board door for ducks to right. Farmhouse for model farm, now Pitstone
Green Farm Museum. Included for group value.
