Canal milestone, 1814, of cast iron. Circular post carrying plate curved in plan inscribed SHARDLOW 84 MILES: PRESTON BROOK 8 MILES in raised Roman capitals. Restored 1977. T&MCS 1977 inscribed on raised quatrefoil on the post.
