House, mid C18, extended in C19. Narrow, gault brick, part
English bond with steeply pitched roof of C19 slates with gable
end parapets on kneelers, saw-tooth eaves cornice and end
stacks. Two storeys and attics with band above first floor and
between storeys. Three dormers. Two flush frame hung sashes,
mid C19 with vertical glazing bar on either side of a similar
central window in a round-headed arch. Central doorway with
doorcase of moulded architrave, pulvinated frieze raised
keyblock and flat hood. Door of six raised and fielded panels
including two small glazed panels. Inside, one ground floor
room is lined with raised and fielded panelling in two heights
but the reeded window surrounds and dado rail are late C18 or
early C19. Fine mid C18 open-string staircase of four flights.
Three turned balusters to each tread, turned newels, with
curtail and scroll tread ends. The attic flight is probably
earlier.
