4/30 Coach-house to Heigholme

Coach-house, now a house. Early C19. Red brick, with stone dressings,
timber, lead and graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays; centre bay breaks
forward under a low pediment. Symmetrical elevation. Central C20 sliding
glazed doors to former coach entrance under elliptical rusticated arch with
projecting plain imposts and raised keyblock. 6-panel doors with fanlights
under elliptical rusticated arches to right and to left. First floor:
Diocletian window with sill under rusticated arch with projecting keyblock
to centre bay flanked by keyed oculi in rusticated surrounds. Monogrammed
shield to gable. Moulded timber eaves cornice. Timber lanterns with round-
headed windows with radial glazing capped by pyramidal lead dome and
weather-vane in form of a flying duck. Hipped roof.
