Stable building with groom accommodation, mid C19 in C17 style. Brown
brick in English Garden Wall Bond with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays
with a 3-bay rear wing (north-east) which completes an "L" shaped
plan. Wide boarded, studded, door on strap hinges, formed into four
vertical panels by planted fillets. The door is in an ovolo-moulded
stone dressed opening with Tudor arched lintel. Projecting 3 course
deep band at first floor level. Hopper light windows to ground floor
and breather holes in cross form, to loft above. A central ridge
louvre vent, with hipped zinc roof, sits astride the ridge.
Interior: Half height softwood dividing and passage partitions with
iron rod openwork above. Softwood boarded and joisted loft floor.
Softwood king post truss roof with two lines of vertically fixed
purlins. The rear (north-east) wind has living accommodation at first
floor and garage below.
