Farmhouse, probably early Cl7, altered. Brick-nogged oak frame with
later upper part in brick; grey slate roof. 2 storeys; 5 windows in
lower storey. Formerly a longhouse derivative with shippon (now
kitchen and bedroom) right. Small casements of C19 vernacular type;
central oak-framed dormer gable; replaced boarded door. Chimney behind
ridge opposite door; 2 chimneys on rear slope towards left end. Some
posts and beams covered in softwood boards.
Interior: Lobby entrance; inglenook with cambered oak bressumer; ovolo
oak beam on jowled post at rear in central room; chamfered oak beam in
kitchen; left room reconstructed, in keeping; stair inserted, with
adjacent hatch for former ladder entrance to loft; framing of former
lower roof visible upstairs; some wattle and daub.
