16/50 Towler Hill Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Mid C18 house and late C18-early C19 left section,
the latter a byre conversion. Squared rubble; sandstone-flagged roof and stone
chimney stacks. Continuous, 2-storey front: 3-bay house, and left section of
2 wide bays. Flush quoins at ends and at joint between sections. Openings
have stone, flat-arched lintels with segmental tops. Left section openings
altered in late C20. Replaced 2-pane sashes.

House to right has central replaced glazed door and overlight; paired sashes in
late C20 opening to left, single sash to right and 3 windows above. Left section
has replaced partly-glazed door to right; single and paired sashes to left and
2 windows above. Continuous roof has coped gables and a coping above junction;
all copings have shaped kneelers. Right end stack, central and left ridge stacks;
all with top bands and water tables. Rear has scattered, replaced 2-pane sashes.

Interior: right ground-floor room of original farmhouse has large stone fireplace
with projecting lintel on corbelled jambs.
