House. 2 late C16 bays to left, C17 extension with cross passage and
2 bays to right, small early C19 wing to rear. C16 and C17 parts are timber
framed with whitewashed brick infill, some timbers rendered and painted.
Curved braces in left end wall. Old tile roof, central chimney with
grouped shafts of thin brick and off-set head, other later brick
chimneys. 2 storeys, the left bays with eaves raised but slightly
lower than right block. Left bay blind; remainder irregular with C19
and C20 2 and 3-light wooden casements. Upper window of second bay in
flat-roofed semi-dormer. Flush-panelled door to central passage has
flat hood on wooden brackets, and blocked original 2-light window above.
Rear extension is of colourwashed brick and has canted bay window with
sashes. Interior: curved wall bracing in left bays, heavy straight
braces and wind-braces in C17 bays; stop-chamfered spine beams, the second
bay with similar cross beams.
