Medium-sized house and cottage. Mid C18 house refronted in mid C19; mid C19
cottage. Roughcast and painted masonry; renewed pantiled roofs with roughcast
brick chimneys. T-plan house with cottage attached to left. House: 2 storeys,
2 bays and projecting bay to right. Glazed C20 porch and 4-panel part-glazed
door in second bay. Windows have projecting sills: 2 tripartite windows to
left of door and 4-pane stair window above with basket-arched head. Projecting
right bay has canted bay window with replaced top-hung casements, tripartite
window above and first floor 4-pane sash to inner return. Steeply-pitched
roof, with raised verge to left, has angled kneelers and is hipped over right
bay. Left end and right ridge stacks have late C19 ornamental chimney pots.
Lower 2-storey, 2-bay cottage has four 4-pane sashes with projecting sills; roof
with renewed left gable coping and end chimney.
Rear of house has 2-storey outshut, under lean-to roof, with three 4-pane sashes,
gable has dentilled brick band at eaves. Cottage has lower single-storey
outshut with renewed fenestration. C20 additions to rear of house not of special
interest.
