Group of 3 estate cottages forming an L-shaped plan. Mid C19. Painted
brick. Old tiled pitched roofs with gables, brick modillion cornice
under projecting eaves & tall brick chimney stacks, diagonally set and
mostly in groups of 2 or 3. 5 window range. 2 storeys; number 46 with
attic.
Number 44. 2 windows. Entrance, in left hand bay, with tiled pitched
hood on shaped brackets with pendants. Canted bay window, with
penthouse tiled roof having modillion eaves, to gabled right hand bay
ground floor. Headed 2-light casements to first floor. Gable has a
moulded brick framed recessed panel.
Number 45. 2 windows. Entrance, in left hand bay, with brick porch
square headed opening and side openings and a tiled pitched roof with
modillion eaves and recessed panel. Headed casements, 3-light to
ground floor, 2-light to first; First floor gable above entrance with
recessed panel.
Number 46. 1 window to street front; main front on left hand return
with 2 windows and 2 window later extension in similar style. Gable
end right hand bay with canted bay window having penthouse tiled roof
with modillion eaves. Entrance to left with tiled pitched hood on
shaped brackets with pendants.
2 and 3-light leaded casements.
