Bridge Foot Farmhouse
GV II

Farmhouse. Mid-C18 with early C19 additions. Coursed rubble gritstone with
quoins, intermediate and end ashlar ridge stacks, plain gables and a stone
slated roof. Two storeys, three bays, that to the east end an addition. Two
earlier bays with 2-light flush mullioned windows and C19 casements with horizontal
glazing bars. Additional bay has single light openings in plain stone frames,
one with C20 top hung light. Off-centre doorway with massive jambs and heavy
lintel. Six panelled door with upper two panels glazed. Blocked doorway at
junction of earlier and later work. Rear elevation has catslide roof to west
end and a C18 flush mullioned window. Lean-to roof at east end of catslide
has massive stone slabs to roof.
