Public house and attached additions and outbuildings. Mid C18 and later, with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble and rendered gritstone, with ashlar dressings, quoins, moulded kneelers and coped gables to principal range, plain gables elsewhere. Ashlar intermediate and ridge stacks, stone slated roof coverings. Irregular elevation, comprising three distinct sections. Roughcast north range; two storeys, four bays, that to north end recessed. Varied window pattern, with former two-light flush mullioned windows, now with a single mullion remaining to each floor, and with C20 casements and pivot windows to upper floor, C20 glazing bar sashes and one C20 bow window to ground floor. Off-centre doorway with painted stone surround and six-panelled door with rectangular overlight with Gothic glazing.
Principal range, two storeys, three bays, with two-light flush mullioned windows, save for north bay ground floor opening which has a glazing bar sash in the earlier surround. Central first floor window with semi-circular head with radiating glazing bars. Elsewhere, C19 sashes and casements. Central doorway with quoined surround and massive lintel below shallow bracketed hood. Door with two rectangular lights with shallow arched heads to upper part. Range to south, lower and recessed, with two plain doorways and a single first floor window with C20 joinery.
