GV II
Kitchen garden walls at Pentillie Castle (q.v.). Probably early C19. Slatestone
rubble and brick. The walls enclose a parallelogram area, with internal cross wall
running from east to west, to give additional south-facing wall-face. The walls are
about 4 metres high. The outer sides of the walls are in slatestone rubble, with
brick coping and brick pilasters at intervals. Main gateway to east, with 2 west
doorway and one to north. Inside the garden, the walls are faced in brick, with
pilasters; bricks laid in alternate courses of headers and stretchers. The cross
walls are stopped, with greenhouses attached to south and single storey gardener's
shed in rubble attached to north.
