Retaining walls and central steps. Probably c.1865 by John Norton. Coursed
rubble retaining walls with octagonal piers at intervals; surmounted by a pierced quatrefoil parapet. Central octagonal piers and a flight of 7 steps with side walls which terminate in lions on haunches supporting shields. (Country Life, 17.V.1902).
