House. Early to mid-C19. Sandstone and stucco with hipped Welsh slate
roof and sandstone stacks. Rectangular plan with main garden front facing
south-east. Cellar and two storeys. South-east elevation has four windows,
glazing bar sashes with hoodmoulds. Ground floor has similar but deeper
windows except for a French casement to the left-hand side. Weathered
pilasters with recessed panels are attached to corners. Plan band. Wrought
iron piers support full-width concave-roofed canopy across ground floor.
Side elevations have similar windows but with four-centred heads and hood-
moulds to both storeys. Ground and first floor windows next to corners
of main front are blind behind glazing bars. Entry through porch with
triangular head in north-east return. Interior has hall with stained glass
in fanlight and cornice decorated with palmettes. Dining Room has cornice
with egg-and-dart and rosettes. Two-flight dog-leg staircase has stick
balusters, mahogany handrail and carved tread ends. Cellar is stone vaulted.
