14/42 Dunwood Farmhouse and
attached granary

Farmhouse and attached granary. Early C17 with some early C19 and late C20
alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill on a rubble
plinth with a slate roof. Three framed bays aligned north/south with a further,
lower, framed bay to north and another bay of brick and rubble to north contain-
ing the granary. West front of two storeys with two 2-light casements to right
over three windows, a fixed casement to left, then a 3-light and a 4-light case-
ment. Lower range to left also of two storeys with two 2-light casements on each
floor. To left of these the entrance has a half-glazed C20 door. Granary
approached by external wooden steps to first floor door. Framing: four square
panels high. The gable-end truss has two collars and trenched purlins.
