Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17 to early C18 with later alterations.
Brick and sandstone rubble plinth and timber-frame with plaster infill.
Pantile roof with sandstone rubble stack. L-plan with arms to north-west
and south-west. Two storeys and attics. South-east elevation has five
windows, rectangular late C20 casements, two of two lights to left and
three of two lights to right. Ground floor has similar windows. Porch to
left with stone slate roof contains glazed late C20 door. Frame is four
panels from cill to wall-plate. Rear elevation of this south-west range
has projecting upper storey on bressummer. South-west elevation of north-
west range has brickwork with segmental-headed openings. Interior has close
studding to cross walls and a jowled post with lamb's tongue chamfer-stop.
Ceiling beams with similar stops. (RCHM, Vol III, p 8).
