House, on site of monastic grange. C16 origins, remodelled circa 1700,
altered C19. Rubble stone with brick dressings, plain tile roof. 2 storey
and attic, 3 bay originally with hip-bay added to one end and wing to rear.
Front has added hip bay to RH. In centre bay of original part C19 gabled
brick arch with pointed opening. To RH side C19 rectangular hip-roofed bay
window of 5-lights to front. End bays have 12-pane sashes, that to RH in
flush frame. 1st floor brick band. On 1st floor 2-light casements except
for 3-light casement over bay. All windows in brick framed openings. On
roof over each bay 2-light gabled dormer. Roof hipped to RH. Stacks at
either end of original part, with added flue to RH stack.
