On corner of York Road. Large house block of C17 origin, but elevations
are Jacobean 'revival' of circa 1850. 2 storeys. Both main facades has a
left-hand gable of 1 window, and a long range with 3 windows. Red tile roof,
massive central chimney and other recent stacks. Red brick walling in Flemish
bond, hood-moulds to first floor windows, hipped roofs to ground floor bays.
Casement lights. Earlier (No 53) porch on the east side is a brick gabled
projection with a 4-centred arch with chamfered opening; porch to No 51 is
plainer and smaller, with gable above square opening.
