Shield on left is Cheverell (argent, on a saltire azure five water bougets or), impaling Raves;

Here lies Roger Cheverell, son and heir of John Cheverell, Esquire, who died the fourteenth day of August A.D. 1517, on whose soul may God have mercy. Amen.
