Cottage. Mid-late C17. Square-panelled timber framing with
rendered infill on a rubble and coursed squared and dressed
limestone plinth, which formerly continued to the left of the
present gable end; right gable end rebuilt in brick; left gable
end rendered; thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching;
former ashlar stack rebuilt in brick and brick stack. Rectangular
main body. C20 flat-roofed extension to rear not of special
interest. 1½ storeys. Roadside front from left to right: Cl9
three-light casement with horizontal glazing bars; C20 plank door
with a single glazed pane within a C18 doorcase; 6-pane sash; C20
three-light wooden casement with transom. One 2-light and one 3-
light eyebrow dormer, one Cl9, both with fixed triangular lights
either side. C20 two-light roof dormer. Right gable end: small
C20 single-light casement; 2-light steel casement to the first
floor. Single C20 two-light casement at the left gable end. Axial
stack and projecting stack probably formerly axial. Interior not
inspected.
