Dignified ashlar-faced commercial classicism, circa 1900, 2 storeys and dormers,

between ground floor windows and off-centre doorway support deep entablature
and cornice, with panelled parapet-frieze. Similar pilasters, unfluted, between
1st floor windows support another deep entablature, with triglyphs on frieze
and far-projecting cornice. White-painted dormers with triangular pediments,
set against greenish slate mansard roof and connected by thick cornice along
top of roof. Elaborate ground floor business hall with marble columns and chinneypieces
and high panelling, modernised 1973-4.
