ST 30 SE THORNCOMBE SADBOROW
3/83 Home Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Later C17. Rubble walls with stone and brick quoins. Stone-coped
gables with small square terminations at apex. Slate roof. Two C20 brick
stacks at ridge. Two storeys. Four windows: stone millions with ovolo-moulds
and labels to ground floor windows. Small leaded lights. Wide doorway with
moulded stone jambs, imposts with paterae and moulded round arch (renewed)
with embossed kay and label over. South wing originally a barn: straight
joints with rubble and brick filling. Blue lias steps, four, up to front door.
Dated extension (1939) to west in style of C17.
