Former mill by the River Coln. Late C18. Coursed thinly-bedded
limestone and random limestone; dressed stone quoins; stone slate
roof. Rectangular main body with later extensions to either gable
end. Main body: 2 storeys and attic with single-storey and 1 1/2
storey extensions. Three-windowed front to main body: single-
light, 2 and 3-light wooden casements with timber lintels;
shuttered window at centre of the ground floor on the line of the
internal water wheel. Stable type door up 2 stone steps far left.
Rear elevation: round-headed arch at point where the head race
runs under the mill; single width doorway to the right; two
shuttered windows to the first floor, one with protruding iron
wheel with curved spokes. Two-light casements in gable ends to
attic; blocked pigeon holes with landings above the window at the
gable end. Open-fronted 2-bay extension to the left gable end.
Double-width door (on runners) to the extension at the opposite
gable end. Stone steps (at right angles to the extension) giving
access to plank door to the loft to the right of the double
doorway.
Interior reputed to contain all the original machinery but not
accessible.
